ExTRA FaIRNeSS To ThE FaIR SEX !!!!!

Well, though i am normally associated with extreme feminsim and "male bashing" statements...this time i am here to raise concerns over the recent judgement passed by an apex court where they said that " the courts could have faith on any girl or woman in the country who seeks justice against sexual assault !"
If we can talk so much about gender equality these days why have gender biased laws that are skewed towards women ...there are already many laws to protect the interests of women ...laws against domestic violence, dowry, female feticide, we have reservations for the girl child, the single girl child..the women reservation bill and what not ...
On one hand these laws confer protection on women on the other hand they confer undue power to abuse men on women. We already have so many genuine cases illustrating the rampant misuse of the Dowry Law by unscrupulous women to extort money and harass their husband’s entire extended family. So how can we gurantee that women who complain against sexual abuse shall not be misusing this power ??? Such laws would only continue to perpetuate gender discrimination and not put an end to it ! After all who says men can't be abused...???? LOL !
In my opinion, the Indian government has done enough to support structures for women who want to launch violence or harassment complaints, and make the criminal justice system, particularly the police, more gender sensitive and now its time to wait and watch before passing more judgements in favor of women, lest this law becomes yet another misguided attempt to enact legislation to grant women legal supremacy over men and to create a society where men are deprived of their rights...!!!!

The thing with India is that we Indians fail to understand how very vast this nation is and how very much it varies from place to place. While laws such as these are mostly misused in metropolitan cities, however they bring much relief is lesser developed cities and rural areas. The fact is, Indians in cities are chant people. Another fact is that a majority population still lives in rural areas. So doing away with such laws just aint possible! However something the Govt. cud do is control the way these laws are implemented! The laws cud be made less stringent in urban areas! Dont say that cant be done. We already have such laws!!

hmm interesting...actually what i believe is that every law has a meaning behind being thrown into the public.....i feel that all this undue support for women issues from these fucking government agencies cz they dont think that the testosterones can control themselves from raping and abusing women...the courts cant be severe in their punishments against these offenses (its like they got to save their butt from threats frm the criminal!! haha Bullcrap) (and personally i think they shouldnt even allow the proposition of Bail in such cases!) so....since they cant be enough severe so these extra "Women Rights" are given to women as "Lollipops With a Sheepish Grin"!! thats it. A screwed up Vicious circle! I wonder who made the word "Politics"....he wouldnt have had to try very hard to find Examples! Its Bloody Everywhere

@beast...
well...! there really isint much to support your sayin that people in cities are more chant and that the rural population is innocent ! the point is that we all have a tendency to abuse power when it is given beyond a certain limit !
so i guess...yeah not ban absolutely the govt can definitely impose some restrictive measures on it ..but not based on teh urbanm rural divide..
after all..wen wd we stop differentiating ...male female...urban rural !!
